Chapter Eleven

Adam

“You look gorgeous,” Adam told Sam sincerely.

Sam’s maxi dress was in a beautiful dark plum and he’d complemented the dress with silver jewelry and a silver belt. He even had long earrings that dangled from his ears. He was a vision and Adam was so happy that Sam had returned to dressing the way that made him happy.

“Thanks.” Sam hugged him tight before gesturing them in. “We’re hanging out in the living room while Daddy finishes up dinner.”

Sam had gone out of his way with decorating and Carson’s lake house was warm and inviting. There were touches of Sam’s fondness for fall decorations everywhere. Perfect for a holiday that was supposed to be celebrating family and what the person was thankful for. Adam had so much to be thankful for that year.

He knew he was lucky to have found a home there in Rocky Lake and after meeting Sam and then Caden and Mickey knew that he was where he was supposed to be. The last few months of having Lucas and Nash was a dream come true. He’d struggled with having any person interested in him and now he had two. Sometime within the last week all the pieces had clicked into place and Adam was more comfortable and happier than he’d ever been in his life.

Adam still had moments of panic, but he also welcomed either man to touch and hold him. Cuddles had become a nightly thing as Nash would rest and Lucas enjoyed having Adam on his lap.

Of course, Nash also tried to constantly get them naked. Now was not the time to think about being naked with his men though. Adam was in a house full of friends that wouldn’t hesitate to tease him.

Adam followed his friend into the living room where Caden, Lincoln, and Mickey were already camped out. Lucas continued into the kitchen to drop off the salad and pie they’d picked up from the store and Nash struggled behind Adam on his crutches.

Nash had been using his crutches for a couple of days and Adam wasn’t sure how he hadn’t killed himself. They tried to help Nash, but the offers were always responded to with a grumpiness that Adam wasn’t used to from Nash. It must be hard for someone who usually had energy to spare to be held back with a broken leg. Adam didn’t like how frustrated Nash was becoming.

The longer that Nash was forced to lie around and not do much, the more Adam could see him cracking. If it didn’t have to do with sex, Nash was sullen and withdrawn. Adam becoming more confident was giving him the opportunity to really focus on Nash and Lucas.

Nash wasn’t handling being confined.

He waited for Nash to enter the room behind him before going over to the couch, leaving enough room for Nash to sit on the end.

“Hey, Adam, hey, Nash,” Caden said. “You look good. How’re you feeling, Nash?”

“Fine,” Nash grunted out.

Adam elbowed Nash where he hoped no one else could see.
